My Story
Katelyn Dawn is a pop singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Canada. Her catchy sound has been compared to Gabrielle Aplin, Taylor Swift, and Carly Rae Jepsen.
Katelyn has performed for the Honey Jam Festival (an association fostering female Canadian artists), NXNE, the Folk Festival Young performers stage, the Grand Beach Music Festival, as well as opened for Tom Cochrane and Loverboy at the Summer in the City Festival. She was invited to perform on the Discovery Channel for a David Suzuki Special called The New Centurions, and has been featured several times on CTV and on E-Talk. She has been featured on radio stations both locally and abroad. In 2008 Katelyn auditioned for Canadian Idol and made it through to the top 16 gaining performing chops along the way.
After taking a long break from music, Katelyn is excited to share her newest release “The Rearview”.
She has built a home studio and plans to release an acoustic album, and a couple fully produced singles per year.
